Phi Theta Kappa, a national honorary scholastic fraternity, was established in 1910 at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri exclusively in recognition of students at junior colleges throughout the United States. Charter status was granted to a new chapter, Gamma Chi, on 15 March 1939 at the Pueblo Junior College Campus.
